Our American Liberal Arts college here in Tokyo, has a unique "2 + 2" system where students complete two years in Japan and two years abroad. Though most of our LCJ graduates go to our home campus in Wisconsin for their 3rd and 4th years, other students take the opportunity to transfer to various universities in the USA, Japan, and abroad as well. It is certainly a system designed to meet the needs of each individual student.
LCJ offers general education courses and various electives that allow students to graduate with a 2-year Associate of Arts degree. After graduation, students typically transfer to a school that has a major or minor that interests them. The options are endless and there are staff members and advisers available to assist students in choosing the best path for them.
