School Features
Established in 1986, KCG Automobile School is a long-established institution that has produced many nationally certified Grade 2 auto mechanics each year. In 2013, the automobile school became a member of the KCG Group, which consisted of Kyoto Computer Gakuin and other affiliated institutions. At KCG Automobile School, we are committed to training highly-skilled auto mechanics and technicians who will shape the future of the automotive industry and drive innovation in automotive electronics.
Our school has an established partnership with Matsushima Holdings — one of the Kansai region's leading auto dealers — and BMW Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the global premium German car brand. Through this collaboration between automakers, auto dealers, and computer education institutions, we have developed a comprehensive, hands-on training program for training future mechanics.

An IT automobile school training future mechanics who can meet the needs of the next-generation mobility society.

The Inokuma campus — equipped with the latest vehicles and materials for learning — serves as the training facility for future mechanics.

Curriculum Features
◆The only school in Japan officially recognized by BMW
In 2014, KCG Automobile School entered into a partnership with BMW Japan with the aim of fostering future automotive technicians. With the support of BMW Japan, our school is the only automotive technician training institution in Japan to introduce BMW-specific scan tools as practical training equipment. These scan tools enable technicians to perform diagnostics, adjustments, and repairs via a network based on data such as the characteristics of each vehicle model and maintenance history, making them an essential tool for today's automotive technicians.
While BMW's diagnostic tools are typically only available at authorized BMW dealerships, students use this tool as part of their coursework and hands-on training. Students will also learn from a BMW Meister — the highest level certification for BMW technicians — using the latest BMW vehicles as learning materials.
◆Educational support from Matsushima Holdings, Kansai's No. 1 dealer
◇Internships at luxury car dealerships
Internships are held each year during summer vacation at Matsushima Holdings authorized dealerships in Kyoto and Shiga, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Mazda, and Suzuki.
◇Learn directly from working mechanics
Mechanics who are active in the field are invited from Matsushima Holdings as instructors to provide students with hands-on training. Throughout the year, students will not only learn maintenance techniques, but also develop the mindset and professional manners of a working mechanic.
