●Strong support in daily life
To support students' life in Japan, we introduce them to dormitories (for men and women) and apartments, and also offer scholarships for international students so that they can study at ease.
Support is also provided for students seeking employment in the field of promoting Japanese food culture overseas or as specified skills workers.

●Selected by Japanese Language School Teachers as "College Recommended for International Students"
Since 2014, Japanese language schools teaching staff have selected us as the best choice to recommend to international students for further study in Japan in the vocational school category of the "Ryugaku AWARDS" every year. The award was given to our school in recognition of the fact that the school's culinary techniques coaching aimed at finding employment is valued much higher than other culinary schools and that it has an alumni association overseas that continues to support students even after graduation.

School Features

●The Tsujicho Group' s global network
The Tsujicho Group has more than 145,000 graduates. More than 2,800 restaurants, both domestic and international, are operated by our graduates. Many of them are now working as head chefs at hotels and famous restaurants.

●From Western confectionery to Wagashi(1) and bread making. Two departments that nurture the power of confectionery

●Confectionery Arts and Management Course (2-year program)
In the first year, students learn the basic techniques and knowledge of all kinds of Western confectionery, Japanese confectionery, and bread making. In the second year, students enroll in one of the following classes to enhance their skills and professionalism: "Confectionery Comprehensive Class," "Bakery and Café Comprehensive Class" or "Western Confectionery Master Class". *The class for the second year should be decided during the first year of study.

●Confectionery Hygienist Regular Course (1-year program)
In a short period of one year, students will learn the knowledge and techniques of Western confectionery, Japanese confectionery, and baking. In addition to acquiring basic skills through a short-term, intensive curriculum, students also learn about the background of confectionery and nutrition. After graduation, students can choose to continue their studies at Tsuji Culinary Institute or study abroad at a French school of the Tsujicho Group where they can learn even more advanced techniques.

*Both courses qualify students to take the Confectionery Hygiene Master examination.

Curriculum Features

●"Theory + Practice + Cultivation" unique program
Rather than simply memorizing recipes and techniques, students learn the theory of such things as properties of ingredients and the meaning of heating, and then improve their skills through practical training, while also deepening their knowledge of the background and culture of confectionery. By learning confectionery and baking comprehensively, students acquire the ability to create their own original recipes.

●Teachers that also work on TV and in the media
The Tsujiсho Group has 500 teachers. As there are so many of them, if you have any questions, you can ask them at any time. Teachers also research cutting-edge pastries and bread on a daily basis, winning awards at world-class competitions and appearing on TV and in the media.

●Authentic Equipment and Ingredients
The practice rooms, designed for each kind of confectionery, Japanese confectionery, and baking, are equipped with the same equipment used by professionals in the real workplace. Also, in our classes we use the real products, not substitutes for high-quality ingredients.
