Toyo University
Founded more than 130 years ago, the university is committed to "philosophical education". We nurture "global human resources" who can play an active role in the world through a wide range of learning.
Faculty of Life Sciences
Learning from Life. Solving Questions for the Future.
Life sciences span a vast range—from molecules and genes to cells, organisms, populations, societies, and the global environment. The knowledge gained from life sciences is applied across diverse academic disciplines, including medicine, agriculture, and engineering.
Our faculty fosters philosophical and ethical contemplation on the nature of life, cultivating a broad and integrative perspective while equipping students with deep expertise in specialized areas of the life sciences.
Based at the Asaka Campus, newly renovated in 2024 as a “Smart Campus for Life and Food,” we aim to nurture individuals who will contribute to solving global and societal challenges—such as those related to healthcare, food security, and the environment—and advancing sustainability.
