Students sometimes venture outside the classroom to explore the landscapes and cultural backgrounds hidden between the lines of a work of art, or to discover fragments of history through interactions with local people. In this way, they will strive to discover the value of Japanese culture and gain a new perspective on their own history, traditions and culture. Furthermore, they are expected to communicate their ideas to others and take on the challenge of passing on and creating local culture. Through these studies, students will acquire the most important skills for survival in society, such as the ability to gather diverse information, discover issues, organize their own thoughts, and communicate them to gain understanding.
