CG・VFX
CG & Visual Arts Course
Become a VFX creator who masters both CG and live-action visual expression.
This program is one of the few in Japan that combines broadcasting arts education launched in 1974 with CG education introduced in 1979.
Students learn how to create compelling visuals with a strong focus on VFX (Visual Effects)—a high-demand skill in a wide range of media including international films and dramas, TV programs, commercials, music videos, and promotional videos.
Our graduates have gone on to careers as VFX artists, 3DCG designers, and compositors, working across various sectors in the CG and visual production industries.
※ VFX = Visual Effects: The art of combining 3DCG with live-action footage to create complex and stunning visuals.
Point 1: Master the Full Workflow of VFX Production—from Camera Work to Editing
Under the guidance of instructors with real-world production experience, students acquire essential VFX production skills in just two years.
This includes camera operation, 3DCG creation, compositing CG with live-action footage, and video editing—making it one of the few programs in Japan to cover the entire VFX pipeline.
Point 2: Graduates Contribute to Major Domestic and International Projects
Our graduates have participated in global productions such as the Hollywood film Fantastic Beasts, Godzilla Minus One, and the Kingdom movie series.
They are also active in a wide range of fields including domestic TV dramas, tokusatsu (special effects shows), commercials, MVs/PVs, animation, outdoor LED displays, and virtual production.
Point 3: Strong Employment Outcomes in CG & Visual Industries Through Practical Skills
A key strength of the program is its focus on real-world, practical skills. Many graduates have gone on to work immediately after graduation on major commercial projects and artist videos, including MVs and PVs for YOASOBI × Vaundy, ONE OK ROCK, and Kenshi Yonezu.
